Will Richardson is a seasoned management consultant and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience delivering high-impact automation, efficiency and transformation programmes across UK central government and financial services. Known for his strategic thinking and no-nonsense approach, Will has advised major government departments—including HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office, and the Ministry of Defence—on complex, high-value initiatives, often brought in to correct failing programmes and deliver measurable outcomes.

At 20, he founded and later sold a successful recruitment business to a venture capitalist. He then transitioned into the contracting world, rising rapidly from business analyst to programme director and trusted advisor, Will also authored the UK government’s rulebook for major project assurance, cementing his position as a thought leader in public sector change.

He is the founder of Simplex Management Consulting, a firm known for helping government and private sector organisations deliver major programmes, recover underperforming initiatives, and embed long-term capability. Under his leadership, Simplex has secured and successfully delivered contracts for UK central government departments as well as large-scale transformation projects for BPO services firms.

Will is also the founder of the Net Zero Transition Office (NZTO), a specialist consultancy helping organisations navigate the evolving landscape of climate policy, carbon pricing, and transition finance. Through NZTO, he works with governments and major corporations to design credible, data-driven strategies that support long-term sustainability goals while maintaining commercial viability.

A builder by nature, Will is behind multiple ventures, including Rule Benders Academy—an online training platform empowering professionals to break free from traditional career paths. He is also an expert at developing AI-use cases for automation of processes and business efficiency.
